Hello, guys! I'm on my uncle's/aunt's/cousins' computer with lots of time on my hands. Actually, I really have homework and studying to do, but truthfully? Not interested.

So believe it or not, there's snow here. Yep, on Shabbos Baltimore got snow! It's mostly melted now, but it was a good few inches! I wish we had that in Cincinnati.

hey y'all, just got the biggest shock of my life when I accidentally typed in "ritss.blogspot.com" go ahead, check it out. note the car. understand my confusion? good. So! I wore my yellow fingerless gloves today - y'all remember those, riiiight? right. so nothing is new, excpet for the insanity that is Seminary in Gateshead. I should start getting used to it, but nah! FYI - it's been 2 MONTHS since I left home...and two days. craaaazy, I'm sort of like - wah? no way! at the same time it's like I've been out of Hs for decades! is that weird? oh wel... I'm in a ranodm twittering mood - not like, I wanna twitter - which I am, but like a hummingbird. twittering form one thing to another. oooh, it's almost 3:30 this time next week my afternoon classes would be starting. not today though, because it's "half-break" meaning a week of vacation for no reason. seriously. fyi, my jaw is clicking because I've been chewing gum vigorously for an hour and a half now. and also - in case you thopught wrongly! "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo." is a grammatically correct sentence!!!! yeah...still bored!

Changed my mind. I have nothing else to do so I'm going to blather on. Anyone ahve a problem with that? *crickets chirp* good. So today is zom Gedaliah. fasting. bleh. No one likes that. But yesterday and the day before were Rosh Hashana. Don't know about you guys, but mine was awesome. I davened Ma'ariv for the first time in my life, and yeah...not anything life-changign there. But I ahven't really seen many men for a long tme so it was cool sitting there and being liek "I'm in shul...hehe" My meals were/are really amazing. Food here is nothing like the famed "Sem food" of legends. Green slime that crawls away from your plate when you're not looking. No. we have really good stuff. and on Thursday nights we EVEN have Macaroni and cheese!!! not as good as I make it, but it'll suffice. England is as they say, cold and rainy. all the time. It feels more like Chanukah time, rather than Sukkos. Tomorrow is our last day of classes, and then everyone is going on "holiday" (pronounced holly-day) I'm IYH going to be in Eretz Yisroel!! Flying on Thursday through Paris and then I'll be staying at Dani's house, and for Sukkos I'll IYH be at my aunt and uncle. yay!! In case I ahven't expressed this eough, I MISS YOU!!!! seriously, not a day goes by that I don't think of my friens or random Ritts moments. i.e. the other day we were discussing Purim and I kept raving about Purim in Cincy. Can ou imagine? me raving about Cincy!?! crazy times.... but yeah. They do have a play here in third term, that's between Chnukah and Pesach, and I hope to be in it. With my amazing repetoire as "mama" I'm sure I'll get main part :P My days are pretty boring, I have 4 morning shiurim which start at 8:45 and end at 12:45. then we have lunch (supper) and here that mean a huge meal, with soup, and usually a big protein and lots of sides. then most girls have afternoon courses. I don't. In case any of you didn't hear my lovely border story, I don't have a student visa, I ahve a six month pass into the country. So no courses until after sukkos. So as most of you know, I spend my afternoons on the phone, and writing letters. speaking of which... :P so yeah...then we have supper at 6:15 which is light-ish and two night shiurim. curfew is 10pm, and lights go out in the rooms at 11, but peopel can hang out in the common room or the hallways or whatever. fun stuff happening. So now I'm trying to think of what to write, and I am drawing a blank. .... *thinking hard* oh! House and Heroes start tonight! I'm missing it!!! *mutters to self* will not think about gashmius. will not think about tv continuing without me. will not concentrate on it. will think about...rainbows! and butterflies! and unicooooorns! lalalalalalala. oookay Rifky. who's crazy? I AM!!!! *waves hand high* oooh! Want to hear something insane? second term, menaing when i get back from sukkos until Chanukah, the time here is crazy. Because Gateshead is so up North the nights get super-long during the winter. So the sun will rise at 8am and set at 5pm. Shabbos can start at 4!! Menaing Shabbos is more on Friday then on Saturday. how mad is that? ....yes I just said mad. start your fangirl screaming. So that's all I can really think of to say. I'm doing okay, missing you all TERRIBLY!!! please write any time, and send packages of you have money to spare :P - kidding! I'll try to post when I can. Love you guys. MWAH!!!!!

first day... how many of you wish it was the last one?

hello again to all my friends here's what i learned today- fun and play is so much better than EIGHT RIDICULOUSLY LONG HOURS OF SCHOOL!!! i wanted to go back to summertime as soon as i walked in... actually, even BEFORE i walked in... but we started, so there's nothing i can do about it but make the best of it, right? rhetorical question people, rhetorical.
anyway, i wanted to wish everyone a good second day at RITSS, and complain about how much homework i have. except that i decided to skip out on the complaining for now... but don't worry! complaining will ensue (haha- love the word) eventually, it only gets harder... or so i've been told. so, wish me luck, wish eachother luck, aand wish yourself luck... but you might not want to do that last one out loud- i've gotten the weirdest looks when i do that....

WE HAVE A GHOST HAUNTING OUR BLOG!

*cue dramatic music*

Awesome, right? I think we should name him/her. I also think we should choose his/her gender so I can stop going him/her, since I find it very rude to refer to our lovely ghosts as him/her all the time.

In case you haven't realized, having a ghost haunt our blog is a very good sign. Because only the coolest, awesomest, craziest, most amazing blogs get ghosts to haunt their. You think it's cuz we're awesome? I think it's cuz we're awesome.

In other news, Parenthi has now been added to the Ritss dictionary. Noun. Plural of parenthesis and cool sounding.

Someone should really write up a Ritss dictionary. It could come in handy. That way, if someone were to scream out "SQUEE!" or "SHMOOP" or even "MEH!" in the middle of the school day, we could just pull it out all handy like and see exactly what the person means.

And now I'm ranting since I really don't like the fact school starts in a week (I'LL MISS YOU VACATION! DOOOON'T LEEEAVE MEEEEEEEEE!) <- (parenthi :P) I wonder if our blog haunting ghost can turn back time?

Oh well, let me end off with a word of advice. If you dig a hole, and you plan on filling it with clouds, make sure you don't fill it with clown accidently. I did that, and now they're starting to smell.

This has gone on long enough

So here it is. Seriously, two month out of school and I feel like I can do anything I want (gramatically speaking of course) I can skip commas, - okay well I was going to skip that one there, but then you'd be confused and it would all lead to anarchy, ANARCHY I say!! and since we have some leaders of this country doing a better job than me at leading us into anarchy, let's leave that to him *cough* them. I mean them. But anyway, I can mispell thigns and noone cann cal me oot on it. Unless of course you have no idea what I just said. But besides for that, the idea that i will not be joinging the rest of you in the hallowed halls of RITSS next year, saddens me to no end. I was in Target today, and there was an aisle for school supplies, and college stuff. The fact that I went to the college aisle made me sad. :'( - I shed a tear... for myself and my classmates. But this post (although a couple hours before T'sha B'av) should not be this sad, I don like it. (said in a Spanish accent) Befor eI leave i will want to leave a few instructions for the rest of you to uphold and follow CAREFULLY! but that is for later, now I think I will just say this. Even more total randomness, I am in NY now and Imetzeh Hashem will be a counsler in Sternberg Starting tomorrow! but the other total randomess I was thinking about was aside from 200 posts we have almost 3000 hits on this blog and we had a whole party for 1000 but ignored 2000 completly just wondering why, total randomnss as i said..anyhow I wont have interenet in cam p so i wont be checking back here for about a month prob..so hope you all have a terrific amazing summer and maybe we'll have 200posts and 3000 hits next time i check back :)

Two weeks and no one has posted?!? what has this blog come to? not that this post will be very long, because if you can see the time-stamp it's almost three a/m and I have to get up at 7:30 for the Senior's last fund-raiser at 8:30. woohoo. not.

anyway, I still uphold my old beliefs but since it is only the first (ok, TECHNICALLY second, but Shabbos doesn't count, because does anyone go to the zoo on Shabbos. if so, please comment, I need to hear about THAT walk :P) day of Chol Hamoed, so not much has really been formulated in the way of annoyingly repetitive trips, but for now I am sittingin my room wondering what my next post/rant will be about. fyi - the only reason I took away time from AP STUDYING is because Basha said she wanted to see Pesach posts (yay alliterations) so here is one. I am now heading to my grandma to see a few cousins who came in for the day, btu when I ahve time, a rant will be produced, fear not :)

okay, since we desperately need another post (and i seem to be the only one doing that now...), i'm going to write another one!! that's two in a row!! i think that's my record... :P
well, the only thing on my mind... no, that's not right. i have A TON of things on my mind.... what i mean is "the only thing on my mind that would remotely interest any of you (in a conversational way, not in a "let's stare at the extraordinarily... unique- another politically correct word here- girl who is currently talking about her moral views on keychains way...")". and that one thing is... drumroll please: PESACH!!!! I AM SO EXCITED FOR IT!! as in "i can't wait!!", or "can someone please make me stop randomly jumping up from excitement?!?!", OR, "i'm sitting around not doing any of my work, and just thinking how excited i am." . btw., these examples are for any of you who don't get what "Basha excitement" is... and believe me, it gets worse. cheerleader voices anyone?
i want people to post about pesach- NO MORE EXCUSES!!! so no one can say they don't know what to post- i'm telling you! post about where you're going for Pesach, who's coming, evil car trips, MY BIRTHDAY!!! (coughcoughhintcoughcough) or anything else really, those are just suggestions (aka: some of the comprehensible things on my mind)

SO... how relieved are you guys? I mean, i really can't believe that the play- and the endless practices- are over!!! (not that i actually had to go to any of them... :P). Hmmm... what do you think you're going to do with all the "extra" time? i think the Bahamas sound nice... what about you? time to book the tickets...
okay, so I'm listening to the parts of the play i recorded- and YOU GUYS DID AN EXCELLENT JOB!!!! i mean, i knew you did when i saw it, but now listening back ("listening back"? *shrugs* it's not "looking back", 'cause i'm listening... oh whatever.) anyway- i'm listening to all the amazing songs/scenes i recorded, and IT IS SO GOOD!! you all are amazing actors... actresses, i mean :P.

Hashem was "hidden" from us. when did He save us? when we brought Him back into our lives by doing Teshuva and realizing He was the only One Who could save us. in the comfort of the U.S., we often take our Yiddishkeit for granted. we often dont realize that Hashem is Mashgiach on us every single second of the day. we need to wake up and bring Hashem back into our lives. Have a freilichen Purim! love, Hila" i wrote that email last purim, when the Mercaz Harav shootings had just happened. and look how much happened in the world since then: mumbai, the yeshiva bachurim in japan, obama... things can get really scary sometimes. i always think about this: a lot of times when Tzarot come to us, they come when we least expect them. they come when we finally feel secure. they come when we are not so inspired and feel like everything is okay. they come when we let down our guard. we all know this. so why do we let down our guard??? in the times of the Purim story, the whole thing started because the Jews let their guard down. they lived in Shushan, they felt like they were safe, like they were liked by the non-Jews. they felt like it would not only be okay if they went to the king's party, but that it would actually be disrespectful not to go. they disregarded their Ruchniut, disregarded the things that are truly important in life, and made a mistake that almost cost them their lives. let's learn from the Purim story. let's not make the same mistakes that our ancestors made. let's make choices that will make our great-great-great-grandchildren, years and years from now, look at us and be proud. let's make choices that our descendants can learn from. let's pave a path that our children will follow. let's create Kedusha instead of erasing it. let's create change. one step at a time. little by little, each and every one of us can have an effect on others. remember that, and change. Okay, so here's my entry. It's called "Human"!!!!!!! Anyway, you need to listen to the song again to see how it goes...keep in mind it was made to replace the song lyrics, so if the rhythm sounds off, you clearly don't know how the song goes!!!

It was fun while it lasted....

Well, we all know what's about to end. We're all sad about it (most likely) and probably don't want to go back to school.

But; tough luck 'cause you gotta go back anyway.

Hope you all had a great vacation filled with fun, sun, snow, relaxation, and anything else you wanted on this break.

Guess I'll be seeing everyone back in school...

And, well, if we're luck, maybe we'll miss school on Monday because of snow. *looks hopeful* probably not thought....

Basically, I'm just going to be thinking about how there's only 4 and a half months of school left!

so... for anyone who HASN'T noticed (which would be really sad if that's any of you. i mean, seriously ppl- LOOK OUT A WINDOW!!!!) IT SNOWED!!!!!! SNOW!!! get on your boots, coats, scarves, and gloves, and go outside and enjoy the white fluffiness!!!!!
i just came inside from a very fun (and FREEZING!) snow "adventure"... if you can call 30 minutes outside in your backyard an "adventure"... :P but it was FUN!! so, i'm advising you all to take advantage of the indivdualized-"no-two-are-the-same" heaps of snowflakes waiting outside for you- GO!! you can make snow-angels (and name them whatever you want... (:); snow-men (or snow-women.. or snow-children... and while you're at it, why not make a snow-aunt, or uncle?... and then you can take a big snowy picture of you're big snowy family...); a snow-monkey (i don't advise this one- the tail is IMPOSSIBLE!!); a snow-... um, ANYTHING AT ALL!! JUST MAKE IT BEFORE THE PRECIOUS SNOW MELTS!!!!

or, if you really want, you can sit inside drinking hot cocoa, and look outside at the perfect, untouched whiteness... yeah- i like the sound of that one...
the significance of this color is snow... and not my pink kind- the type waiting outside for you right noew!! (oh, and if any of you happen to have any PINK snow waiting outside for you... call me please! i need to have a little talk with it, you know- it's been misbehaving lately... :P )

MIDTERM WATCH: THE FINAL HOUR!

OH YEAH!

IT'S OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After SPANISH, HEALTH, and HISTORY today, it is FINALLY OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we can all catch up on some much needed sleep. In fact, I think I'll start now. Zzz.....

MIDTERM WATCH: DAY 3

And it is MIDTERM WATCH: DAY 3!

So, today was a major annoyance for the Sophomores and Freshman. BIOLOGY and CHEMISTRY seemed impossible to the most of us. I hope those of you in ECONOMICS and PHYSICS had a slightly easier test than us. I wish Hatzlacha to all of us who will be happy with simply passing right now.

In other news, tomorrow is SPANISH and HISTORY. Only Freshman and Sophomores have to take SPANISH, and I don't believe all the Senior have HISTORY.

IT IS THE LAST DAY TOMORROW!

So study, study, study, take the test, and then go ahead and relax. Try to squeeze a little sleep in between all that studying.

MIDTERM WATCH: DAY 2

And it is MIDTERM WATCH DAY 2, live and running.

So, today brought a mutitude of test, from MATH to HALACHA to TARYAG (for those who had to take it). The Seniors (lukcy people that they are) had the privlage to forgo math (if they don't take it. But they all had to take Taryag so guess we're even)

Rabbi Heigh has most likely already graded your halacha test, so go ahead and ask him for it tomorrow if you haven't got it yet. It's still unknown to when we will recieve our other grades.

In other news, Day 2 is (almost) over. (Some people are currently still taking the Math test, but by the time they read this, they'll be done) And now we just have to study for what tomorrow may bring.

what does tomorrow bring you ask? I can answer that with three words: ENGLISH and SCIENCE!

So study that Bio, Chemisty, Physics, Julius Caeser, Scarlet Letter, Twelvth Night, or whatever else you gotta study.

MIDTERM WATCH: DAY 1

Oh yes, you heard right. It is officially DAY 1 of midterm. And this is "MIDTERM WATCH":

Currently, only two out of eight (or seven in some cases) of the midterms have been currently takes. The Two: NAVI and CHUMASH. Hope everyone had studied real hard for those.

Next up is: HALACHA and MATH. If you have Mrs. Kibel like I do, you already can expect a killer test. Can't speak for the other math class, but I'm sure it's also really hard.

As for Halacha and Guard your Tongue, well, you know the drill, study those test of yours! Unless you took it today, then you're safe!

And, for all those late night studiers, remember, better to get some sleep than fall asleep during a test!

I've done it!

I have been meaning to do this for so long, and guess what? I finally did! I finally got my heart altered! Yay!

The doctor says I have to keep it in for a few weeks, so I have some time to wait before I can take advantage of my newly altered heart.

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! ..too late, they've got me... call my lawyer, i need to write my will...). and after all that fun, WE HAVE MIDTERMS!!! if that doesn't give you something to be happy about, i don't know what will...

but really, you have to admit, making schedules is fun... it's sticking to them that's the hard part. :p yeah, i know none of you agree with me, but it IS FUN!!!! (the making schedules part, not the whole blackout week/midterms thing...)
